About Me

Welcome to my Website

Tatiana Vera (she/her/ella) is a licensed clinical/counseling psychologist in California and New York with experience across health systems, academic research, private practice, and digital health. She earned her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Teachers College (TC), Columbia University, and completed her postdoctoral fellowship at  Sharp Health Care, where she provided care across inpatient and outpatient behavioral health settings.

Her work increasingly focuses on the intersection of clinical psychology, healthcare innovation, and technology. Through digital health training and her work developing Vestra Health, she has explored how measurement-based care, clinical data, and technology can improve behavioral health screening, engagement, care navigation, and follow-up. She is particularly interested in responsible AI applications that support clinicians, improve workflows, and expand access to evidence-based mental healthcare.

Her broader experience includes clinical care, program development, quality improvement, research operations, implementation, training, and multidisciplinary collaboration. At Columbia University, she has managed funded research focused on culturally attuned mentorship, social connectedness, and health among transgender and nonbinary people of color, while her earlier work at Montefiore Medical Center centered on substance use, medication adherence, hepatitis C treatment, and health equity.

Her clinical and research approach is grounded in multicultural psychology, trauma-informed care, and culturally responsive practice. She also completed specialized training through Teachers College’s Bilingual Latinx Mental Health concentration and the PASEO Salud Mental Program in Peru.

Tatiana is especially interested in opportunities in digital mental health, clinical strategy, behavioral health innovation, clinical product development, responsible AI, measurement-based care, and scalable mental health delivery.

Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, surfing, reading nonfiction, and balancing it all out with highly unserious reality television.
